Dubai World Central (DWC), the world’s first purpose-built aerotropolis designed around the Al Maktoum International Airport, is a strategic initiative of the government of Dubai that places the emirate as a leading international trade centre.
Being close to Jebel Ali Airport and JAFZA, DWC runs as an independent free zone. With the opening of the Al Maktoum International airport, DWC’s Phase I design is complete. Phase II design and structure is ongoing and will be ready to meet and serve the future demands of the region.
Investors can register two types of companies, either a Branch of an existing company or a new DWC-LLC.
TYPES OF LICENSES
- General Trading License (Issued for import, export, distribution and storage of specific products specified in the License, and sale of the products within the UAE market through a local distributor)
- Industrial License (Issued for specified light manufacturing activities)
- Logistics License (Issued for specified logistics services)
- Service License (Issued for services specified in the License within the DWC Free Zone and elsewhere in the UAE)
- Education License (Issued for educational and social services)
